Satori Poch, Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist

Satori Poch is nationally certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine.  In San Francisco, California she worked in various hospital and clinical settings that included the California Pacific Medical Center for Stroke Rehabilitation Center, American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Community Clinic and the local Auricular Community Clinic.  She also completed the Advanced Clinical Internship Program at Zhejiang Medical University's hospitals and clinics in Hangzhou, China with rotations in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) internal medicine, dermatology, gynecology, acupuncture and Tui Na (Chinese medical massage) departments.  She received her post-graduate degree from the American College of Traditional Medicine and her Bachelor of Science degree from the College of William and Mary.   Satori has been practicing in Virginia for over 10 years.

​A native to Richmond, Virginia, Satori lives here with her husband, two sons and one daughter. Her passion is helping people, families and communities achieve happy, healthy and balanced lives through Chinese Medicine.

Torrey, Office Manager

Torrey Risser graduated from Glen Allen High School with high marks in her studies. She hopes to soon continue her education in the field of Cosmetology where she will focus her studies in hair, makeup, and nail care. She aspires to work aboard a cruise ship as a hair/makeup artist for theater productions. This kind of opportunity would allow her to express her artistic side while traveling the world and meeting people from all walks of life.

Torrey fills her time with friends, family, and her passions for music and crocheting. She has been playing the violin for about 14 years and is currently teaching herself how to play the piano. She is still a beginner with crochet, but she has plans for several projects such as hats, sweaters, and so much more. Presently, the largest project on her radar is a blanket to keep her cozy during the winter months.

​Currently, Torrey lives at home with her mom, dad, brother, and two cats: Nick and Moki. She plans to move to either the Netherlands, Italy, or France within the next five years to immerse herself in the unbelievable beauty and rich culture of Europe. Until then, she will happily continue her work here at Comfort Acupuncture to provide support for Satori as the Office Manager.
